Where our data comes from

How anonymized and aggregated patient-question figures are reproduced from the supplied analytics export.

Where does the patient-question data come from?

The figures and quoted questions come from the mama health app analytics export supplied on 27 October 2026. The source dashboard is filtered to diabetes and the United States. The export was provided as anonymized and aggregated; this site shows topic-level information and no identifying details.

Every patient-data block is labelled Anonymized and aggregated. The export date identifies the supplied snapshot. It does not establish the start or end date of the underlying collection period, which is not stated in the PDF.

Why do the question totals differ?

The export header reports 906 questions and 256 new questions in the last 30 days. Its 14 topic counts add up to 1,062. We preserve the header total, topic counts and percentages exactly as reported rather than changing them to make them reconcile.

The PDF does not explain whether questions can belong to more than one topic or whether another counting rule accounts for the difference. The figures should not be treated as a reconciled count of unique questions or unique people. A topic percentage should be read as a reported topic share, not calculated as the topic count divided by the 906 header total.

What do the quarterly values and trend labels mean?

The export shows Q2, Q3 and Q4 of 2026, with quarterly shares rounded to whole percentages. The website displays those values with one decimal place for consistent formatting. Any percentage-point change is calculated from these rounded quarterly values and labelled as a calculated change.

Growing and Declining labels are copied only where the export displays them. The source does not show a trend chip for symptoms and triggers, treatment effectiveness or psychological concerns, so those topics say Not shown in the export. The condition-basics topic is labelled Growing in the source even though its last two rounded bars both display 5.0%; the source label is preserved.

Question shares describe the questions in this export, not the proportion of people with a symptom, the frequency of a condition or a treatment outcome.

What information is not included in the export?

The PDF contains one displayed question per topic and no regional breakdown. Only the supplied question is shown for each topic. The previous extra questions and regional figures have been removed. A question reproduced from the export remains a patient question, not a medical statement or treatment recommendation.

The 30-day increase is reproduced from the header in the Patient voices introduction. The existing data-file fields and folder model are retained. No live analytics connection or patient-level records are part of this site.

How are shared experiences protected?

The supplied information is labelled anonymized and aggregated. The mama health app describes removing identifying details before experiences are used beyond an individual's own app experience. Read the mama health app commitment for the company's explanation.

This website reproduces the supplied export; it does not audit the underlying anonymization process. Medical information in the guides has a separate source and review process. Explore diabetes patient questions, read about this content hub, or review the privacy information.
